Drone arena fighter · free alpha test for Windows

DRONEFIGHT

Small, fast drones. Tight neon arenas. One timer.
Grab powerups, chase kills, and steal the round with a last-second play.

01

Flying
is the fun

Before a single shot is fired, flying alone in an empty room has to feel great. Boost, dive, dodge. Every move tilts the drone, swings the camera and screams through the rotors.

02

Every hit
lands

Speed, hits and kills reach you everywhere at once: sound, camera, sparks, body and rumble. You feel the fight before you read it.

03

Readable
chaos

A swarm of drones and a storm of effects, and you still know where you are, how fast you are going and what just hit you.

04

Short,
loud rounds

Fast respawns. No waiting around. Every round comes down to the final seconds, and the most kills when the clock hits zero wins.

Arsenal

Kept small.
Hits hard.

The drone on this page carries the same kit as the game. Tap or click empty space to fire.

LMB

Blaster

Twin barrels, fast bolts. Hold to fire, but watch the heat bar. Overheat and you wait.

RMB

Rocket

Hold to lock on. Let go to fire a homing rocket. One hit breaks any crate.

F

Dash

A quick side dash. Time it when DODGE! shows and the rocket loses you.

Boost

Ram

Fast enough? You are the weapon. Smash through a window and fight inside.

+

Powerups

Overcharge: twin lasers. Shield: a bubble that soaks hits. Afterburner: free boost.

Arenas

Built in layers.
Up is always an option.

  1. DroneCity in the alphaThree layers: streets, skyways and tower tops. Break the glass and fight inside the tower rooms.
  2. Abandoned factory plannedWind fans throw you off course. Laser grids blink on and off.
  3. The hangar plannedA wide open centre, ringed with tight vents for shortcuts.

Your colour

One pilot.
One colour.

Every drone glows in a single strong colour, so you can read any fight at a glance. Try one.

Alpha test

Fly it. Break it.
Tell me.

DroneFight is made by Grincade Studio, a one-developer studio. The alpha is an early, rough build, and it changes every week. Your games and your bug reports decide what gets fixed next.

01

Play

Fly DroneCity against bots, or host a room and bring a friend online.

02

Find what is wrong

Flight feels off? A crash? A rocket that cheats? That is exactly what I need.

03

Press F8

Write a few words and press SEND. A screenshot and the game log go with it. I read every report.

New builds come often. The game tells you on the main menu when an update is out.

Is it safe?

Yes. Here is
how to check.

Windows may say Windows protected your PC. That is not a virus warning. Windows shows it for every new program that is not code-signed yet. A signing certificate costs money, so a new indie game usually does not have one yet. Signing will come before the full release.

Start the game

  1. Ask for the alpha with the form below. I share a Google Drive folder with you; download the zip from it. Drive says it cannot scan this file because the file is big: that is normal. If your browser says the file is not commonly downloaded, choose Keep. New files get that note until many people have them.
  2. Right-click the zip, then click Extract All.
  3. Open the folder and run DroneFight.exe.
  4. If the blue Windows box shows, click More info, then Run anyway.

What the game does

  • No installer. No admin rights needed. To remove it, delete the folder.
  • Keeps to its folder. Settings, logs and saved bug reports go into the game's own Saved folder.
  • Goes online only to check for updates (this website), play online matches (Steam), and send a bug report when you press SEND.
  • Big download, normal reason. It is an Unreal Engine 5 game. Most of the size is the engine and the art.
